Holiday Giving Project

Since 2008, Reach has participated in the Holiday Giving Project of Montgomery County (HGP), an initiative run by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services that provides assistance to families in low-income households for Thanksgiving and the December holidays. As an HGP Coalition member, Reach collects and distributes meal baskets, toys, and gift cards to referred families in assigned zip codes.

Join Reach as we provide food baskets for Thanksgiving and toys and gift cards for the December holidays.

There are many ways to participate:

• Donate grocery store gift cards, toys for children, and gift cards for teens. Contact us at development@cmrocks.org for more information.
• Assist with distribution. The next Distribution Day is the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Become a volunteer today!

Important Dates (Thanksgiving Only)

• Referral Period Opens – Monday, Oct. 5th
• Referral Period Closes – Friday, Nov. 6th
• Drop-off Day – Friday, Nov. 20th, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Rockville United Church
• Distribution Day – Sunday, Nov. 22nd, 1-5 p.m. at Rockville United Church
