Holiday Giving Project

Since 2008, Reach has participated in the Holiday Giving Project of Montgomery County (HGP), an initiative run by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services that provides assistance to families in low-income households for Thanksgiving and the December holidays. As an HGP Coalition member, Reach collects and distributes meal baskets, toys, and gift cards to referred families in assigned zip codes.

This year, Reach plans to serve 500 families for Thanksgiving and 200 families, including 400 children, for the December holidays.

 Thanksgiving 

• Referral Period Opens – Monday, Oct. 5th
• Referral Period Closes – Friday, Nov. 6th
• Drop-off Day – Friday, Nov. 20th, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Rockville United Church
• Distribution Day – Sunday, Nov. 22nd, 1-5 p.m. at Rockville United Church

December Holidays

• Referral Period Closes – Friday, Nov. 20th
• Pickup Day – Friday, Dec. 11th
• Drop-off Day – Tuesday, Dec. 15th, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at McLean Bible Church
• Distribution Day – Thursday, Dec. 17th, 1-5 p.m. at McLean Bible Church
