SENIOR REACH
Home Care and Other Services for Seniors
In 1983, Senior Reach (formerly Elderly Ministries) was established at the request of the City of Rockville to address the needs of lower-income seniors and help them age in place. Senior Reach’s services help the elderly maintain their independence and avoid costly assisted living facilities, loneliness, or other risks while keeping them involved in the community.

WANT TO GET INVOLVED?
Here are ways to help
Method 1
Volunteer your time
Senior Reach welcomes volunteers for a variety of roles, including:
- Friendly Callers to check in weekly with clients
- Volunteers at tech support workshops or events
- Handyman services
- Group opportunities to help with yardwork and home projects, or to organize social events
- Other assistance
Method 2
Donate funds
Senior Reach is a program of Community Reach of Montgomery County ("Reach"), which is a nonprofit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service under tax ID #52-0910334. Donations made through the "Donate to support Senior Reach" button below, or checks sent to Reach with "Senior Reach" written in the memo section will directly support the work of Senior Reach. We are grateful for any level of support.
Method 3
Donate goods
Senior Reach clients benefit from gift cards for grocery stores or from big box stores like Target or Walmart. They also welcome holiday gifts or care packages at any time. Occasionally, a senior client may need a specific appliance or piece of furniture. We generally request these items through our newsletter or on social media.
