Holiday Giving Project

Since 2008, Reach has participated in the Holiday Giving Project of Montgomery County (HGP), an initiative run by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services that provides assistance to families in low-income households for Thanksgiving and the December holidays. As an HGP Coalition member, Reach collects and distributes meal baskets, toys, and gift cards to referred families in assigned zip codes.

Join Reach as we provide food baskets for Thanksgiving and food baskets, toys, and gift cards for the December holidays.

There are many ways to participate:

• Donate food baskets, grocery store gift cards, toys for children, and gift cards for teens. Contact us at development@cmrocks.org for more information.
• Assist with distribution. Distribution dates are usually the Sunday before Thanksgiving and the Thursday and Saturday before Christmas. Become a volunteer today!

Important Dates

• Referral Period Opens - Sept. 22^nd

• Thanksgiving Referrals Close - Oct. 24^th

• December Referrals Close - Nov. 21^st

• Thanksgiving Distribution – Sunday, November 23, 1-5 p.m. at Rockville United Church (RUC)

• December Distribution Day 1 – Thursday, December 18, 2-6 p.m. at Reach's Grandin Office

• December Distribution Day 2 – Saturday, December 20, 1-4 p.m. at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Potomac
