Bilingual Medical Assistant (MA)

Overview:

Provide compassionate care to adult patients in an outpatient primary care setting under the supervision of RN Supervisor. Use clinical skills and knowledge to provide patients with a safe and high-quality experience while maintaining timeliness and workflow efficiency in the clinic. Collaborate with other staff to provide patients with the best resources for outgoing medical and social services referrals.

Location: Rockville, MD

Responsibilities:

Triage patients: take history, chief complaint, vital signs, and reconcile medications
Check-out patients: review provider notes and follow through. Provide patient education, perform labs, distribute/administer medications/vaccines, schedule follow ups, etc.
Perform phlebotomy and run other lab tests such as urine dip, pregnancy tests, etc.
Perform other clinical skills such as EKG, ear lavage, minor wound bandaging, etc.
Clean and stock exam rooms and maintain clinic organization
Follow standard precautions and/or enhanced precautions during patient care interactions
Assist in ordering of supplies/pharmaceuticals and maintain inventory
Assist with interpretation as needed in absence of interpreter
Request/retrieve patient medical records
Make patient care related phone calls and respond to assigned “telephone encounters”
Document timely and accurately in EMR system
Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Post high school education, to include certification as a Medical Assistant, and have at least 2 years of MA experience. Must have current Maryland Certification.
Skilled in phlebotomy
Bilingual in English/Spanish
Proficiency with computers and phones including typing skills and EMR experience
Demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to prioritize patient and clinic needs.
Be a team-player with ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
Maintain bi-annual CPR certification

Bilingual Front Desk Receptionist

Overview:

Join our dynamic team at Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic, a leading primary care clinic dedicated to providing compassionate healthcare to our uninsured community. We are seeking a skilled bilingual (English and Spanish) front desk receptionist to be the welcoming face of our clinic and assist in ensuring smooth operations.

Location: Rockville, MD

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors warmly and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.

- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.

- Schedule appointments and manage appointment calendars.

- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.

- Verify Montgomery Cares eligibility information and assist with payment questions.

- Maintain patient records and update information as needed.

- Handle patient inquiries and provide accurate information.

- Assist with administrative tasks as assigned by the clinic manager.

Requirements:

- Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.

Supervising RN

Overview:

Join our dynamic team at Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic a small primary care clinic dedicated to providing compassionate healthcare to our uninsured community. We are seeking an RN with supervisory experience. This position is not strictly clinical, it involves heavy administrative and supervisory duties. It is a terrific position for someone who wants to work a 9a-5p Monday-Friday schedule with paid holidays.

Location: Rockville, MD

Responsibilities:

Clinical:

· Ensuring that the clinical components of the organization are working well.

· Assist in clinical procedures and situations that are beyond the scope of the medical assistants or that require the expertise of an RN.

· Participates in committee meetings such as quality measures, electronic health record, etc.

· Oversees ordering and managing of medical supplies and pharm inventory

Supervisory:

· Supervise the clinical area to optimize patient flow including ensuring that intake and discharge are efficient.

· Supervise clinical staff, including reviewing and revising their job descriptions, evaluating their performance, and ensuring quality and compassionate health care is provided to all patients,

· Supervising the Specialty Care program that includes referrals to specialty clinics.

· In conjunction with the primary medical provider and Managing Director ensure staff coverage and back-up plans when clinical staff are on leave.

Requirements:

· Management/Supervisory experience in any field

· Current Maryland nursing license.

· Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing. If the candidate does not have a BSN, then they must also have a bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as psychology, health, etc).

· Current BLS certification.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Interest in working in Primary Care.

· Commitment to the underserved in our community.

· Experience using an Electronic Medical Record system.

· Comprehensive patient teaching experience.

· Ability to work with a diverse team.

· Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.

· Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
