The Power of Partnership: MKHC & The Radiology Clinic

Through the Patient Relief Fund, MKHC was able to partner with The Radiology Clinic to help patients who needed imaging services but couldn’t afford the full cost.

We determined that many patients were facing delays in care because they couldn't afford the screenings that help providers diagnose and treat health issues. Thanks to the Patient Relief Fund, money was available to help subsidize costs of imaging services - but we wanted to make sure the funding had the biggest impact possible. With support from The Radiology Clinic, MKHC was able to do just that.

We reached out and asked if The Radiology Clinic would be willing to offer an additional discount for our patients, and they agreed. Our patient navigator worked closely with patients who were in greatest need for screenings, letting them know about this one-time opportunity and helping schedule their procedures at the Radiology Clinic office, only minutes from MKHC's office in Rockville.

In total, 10 patients received needed radiology procedures—care they may not have otherwise been able to access.

Michael Mager, Director of Operations at The Radiology Clinic shared:
“The Radiology Clinic is honored to serve our community alongside the Mansfield Kaseman Clinic… MKHC has positioned itself not only as a practice that offers high-quality healthcare, but also as a liaison between the community and medical practices like ours that want to help.”
