Senior Reach

Partner Spotlight: Alert Response LLC

All Reach programs rely on partners to help us serve clients, and this month we want to highlight our partnership with Alert Response, a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) provider that works with Senior Reach, helping seniors access safety devices including medical alarms. For Senior Reach clients, many of whom live alone and may be at increased risk of falls or medical emergencies, the devices provide peace of mind.

We spoke with Matt Newton, the company's owner, about the partnership. He describes supporting Reach as "an easy yes."

"We were introduced to Reach years ago through the previous owner of a company we acquired, and we've built a great relationship since," he shared. "When you reached out, it was an easy yes. We're glad to support an organization doing such good work for the community."

That commitment extends beyond providing devices for our clients. In recent years, Alert Response has also become a sponsor of our annual gala, helping strengthen our ability to empower community members in the county.

For Alert Response, the connection to Reach's mission is a natural fit. The company exists to provide peace of mind for people regardless of age, disability, or income. That focus on accessibility and equity closely mirrors Reach's own commitment to ensuring that life circumstances do not determine whether someone receives support.

"The focus on equity really resonates with us," the company shared. "The idea that everyone deserves a fair shot, regardless of where they're starting from. That's the same principle behind how we approach our own members."

Alert Response sees this partnership as an opportunity to expand its impact beyond the individuals it serves directly.

"It lets us extend our mission beyond the members we serve directly and support the broader safety net that families in Montgomery County rely on," Matt explained. "It's a way to invest in the community, not just the members on our own rolls."

Today, Alert Response supports thousands of members across multiple states through Medicaid, county programs, Area Agencies on Aging, and PACE partnerships. Yet despite its broad reach, the company remains committed to building meaningful local relationships that strengthen communities.

We are grateful for Alert Response's continued support of Community Reach, our Senior Reach participants, and our mission to build a stronger, more equitable community. Together, we're helping older adults age in place safely and independently.
