A Holiday Giving Initiative to Support the Rockville Emergency Assistance Program

Throughout the year, Community Reach of Montgomery County’s Rockville Emergency Assistance Program (REAP) provides local families the resources they need to avoid evictions, foreclosures, and utility terminations; helps them apply for government services (i.e., SNAP and energy and childcare subsidies); and refers them to resources for food, clothing, and dental and vision care. During the holiday season, REAP also manages Reach’s participation in the Holiday Giving Project of Montgomery County (HGP), coordinating the collection and distribution of donated food baskets, toys, and gift cards from local nonprofits and for-profits to hundreds of families who are matched with Reach.

This Thanksgiving season, sow the seed of togetherness by supporting REAP and helping local families experience the warmth of staying in their homes and enjoying each other for the holidays.
