Supporter Spotlight: Faith United Methodist Church

Faith United Methodist Church (FUMC) has been a dedicated supporter of Reach for more than 14 years, contributing to multiple program areas and helping ensure neighbors in need have access to critical resources. This year, FUMC deepened its commitment by sponsoring the Reach-MKHC Gala for the first time, where we were proud to recognize the church as a member of the Legacy League for its longstanding support.

To learn more about this meaningful partnership, we spoke with church member Nancy Kneisly, who has been part of FUMC since 2012.

"Our mission is to help those in need in our communities," Nancy shared. "We support other nonprofits as well, but Reach has stood out to us. Your services are different."

That distinction comes from Reach's holistic approach to serving individuals and families. Nancy explained that FUMC appreciates how Reach addresses not only immediate needs, but overall well-being.

"We see that you understand that to succeed, your clients need to feel well," she said. "The medical side has really made Reach an easy choice for us to support. For many clients, access to healthcare is a luxury."

Nancy's own passion for serving vulnerable populations, especially children and older adults, aligns closely with FUMC's commitment to caring for neighbors in need. She sees Reach's work as a natural extension of the United Methodist tradition of generosity, compassion, and community service.

As a longtime supporter, Nancy encourages others to learn more about Reach's impact.

"We have found throughout the years that Reach has a niche that other organizations do not have," she said. "The ability to use your funds in a way that helps the whole person."

Nancy also credited FUMC Outreach Team member Bill Maas and his wife, longtime Reach supporters, with helping the church better understand the organization's work and impact.

"Thank you for all you do," Nancy said. "We look forward to working with you more in the future."
