ROCKVILLE EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
(REAP)

The Rockville Emergency Assistance Program (REAP) provides emergency assistance to individuals and families living in Rockville who are facing a financial crisis. REAP provides direct financial resources to help Rockville residents avoid eviction or utility termination, or to obtain needed medications or medical procedures.

REAP provides referrals to Montgomery County residents for local food banks, clothing centers, vision and dental clinics, and computer resources. The program also offers information about other services that are available to residents.

Our clients include the working poor, people with disabilities, older adults, unemployed, or those experiencing homelessness.
HOW TO GET HELP
Financial Assistance
Montgomery County residents facing eviction or utility termination due to a financial crisis, should first call
Montgomery County Health and Human Services (HHS), 240-777-4550.
Once a household has exhausted the assistance available through HHS, they are referred to the Emergency Assistance Program that covers their residential location. REAP assists Rockville residents living in zip codes 20850, 20851, 20852, 20853, 20854, and 20855 with a referral from HHS.
For Rockville residents who need assistance to pay for necessary prescriptions or medical procedures, contact REAP.

HOW TO GIVE HELP
​Provide Time
This program is run by a program director with the help of dedicated volunteers who serve as intake coordinators. Please consider volunteering for a morning or afternoon shift each week on a Monday - Friday. Provide Funds
Rockville Emergency Assistance Program, is a program of Community Reach of Montgomery County (Reach). Reach is a non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service, under tax ID #52-0910334. Donations made through the Donate button below, or checks sent to Reach with "REAP" written in the memo section, will go directly to supporting the work of REAP. We are grateful for any level of support.

Provide Goods
REAP can offer clients gift cards to Giant, Safeway, CVS, Walgreens, or Walmart to help cover the cost of prescriptions, or for emergency food assistance. Donations of gift cards to these businesses in denominations of $10, $20, $25, and $50 are appreciated. REAP also appreciates the opportunity to offer clients transportation assistance by providing SmarTrip cards, or other transportation vouchers.
