The Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic of Community Ministries of Rockville is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Neil Spiegel as Medical Director for the Clinic.

Affordable Care Act and the Kaseman Health Clinic People often ask what impact the Affordable Health Care Act will have on the Clinic. In spite of the new laws, Montgomery County will still be home to approximately 65,000 uninsured individuals who will still be in need of the Clinic's services. In anticipation of the new health care laws, the Clinic converted to a new electronic medical records system, which is in compliance with health care reform.

Rockville Town Center was a hub of activity this morning as Interfaith Works hosted a Kickoff for the Affordable Health Care Act to help guide people through the options now available to them. The Kickoff brought together County Executive Ike Leggett, the Mayors of Rockville and Gaithersburg, religious leaders that have opened their doors to act as navigators for the program and Kaseman Clinic's Executive Director Agnes Saenz. The Clinic is partnering with Interfaith in serving as a navigation hub for the Affordable Care Act.

The Kaseman Clinic has expanded its hours for primary care. The clinic will be open five days a week, Monday through Friday, from 9 - 5 p.m. beginning the week of September 16.

The Kaseman Clinic has added a Behavioral Health component to the Specialty Care Services currently being provided at the clinic beginning Tuesday, September 10. A Behavioral Health specialist will be available for appointments on Tuesdays from 9 - 3 p.m.

The Clinic's youngest donor Jazmin accompanied by Mr. Gummie Bear donated her wooden nickels to the Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic. The Clinic has been selected by Whole Foods as a beneficiary of its Nickels for Nonprofits program. For every recycled bag shoppers use, they are given a wooden nickel that they can donate to the Clinic. The donation box is located at the front of the store. Thank you Whole Foods and thank you Jazmin and Mr. Gummie Bear for your support.
