Comedy Night Sponsorships to Benefit CMR’s Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic

On Thursday, October 19th in Bethesda, CMR is hosting its first-ever Comedy Night to raise funds for the Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic. Comedian Robert Mac, who has appeared with Adam Sandler, Larry the Cable Guy, Margaret Cho, Patton Oswalt, Victoria Jackson, and the late Robin Williams, will headline the event. Robert Mac was a grand prize winner of Comedy Central’s “Laugh Riots” and has been ranked in the Top 100 stand-up comedians in the U.S. His act is smart, subtle, a bit silly, and squeaky clean; his style has been named "intelligently designed comedy." You can learn more about him here. Opening for Mac will be comedian Simone.

Sponsorship form can be found here. In addition to tickets and visibility online and through signage and social media, Comedy Night sponsors are invited to an exclusive pre-event reception. Premier parking, premier seats, and even involvement in the comedy are perks of some sponsorship levels.

Purchase individual advance purchase tickets for $50 each here. Tickets for any remaining seats will be sold at the door for $60.

Comedy Night replaces Monte Carlo Night as the Kaseman Health Clinic’s primary fundraiser. The Clinic serves the medical needs of low-income Montgomery County adult residents who are uninsured or insured under Medicaid. It is estimated that more than 60,000 adults in our community do not have health insurance, and many more count on Medicaid coverage, making the work of the Clinic vital to the most vulnerable in our community. CMR’s Clinic offers quality primary healthcare, specialty care (behavioral health, endocrinology, and podiatry), health education, lab and pharmacy services. It also provides hundreds of mammograms and colonoscopies at no cost to patients. Last year, the Clinic provided over 3,500 medical appointments.

With the exorbitant cost of healthcare, covering the expenses of the Kaseman Health Clinic requires raising funds from a variety of sources. Comedy Night sponsorships are one of those sources. Private and government grants as well as County contracts are other sources; patients invest in their own health and pay a small percentage of costs through sliding fees based on their income; and generous donations from corporations, individuals and faith organizations help pay Clinic operating costs as well.

More information about CMR, the Mansfield Kaseman Health Clinic or Comedy Night is available at Kaseman Clinic or by contacting CMR’s Director of Development, Andrea Kempner-Wink or Outreach and Fundraising Coordinator, Cheryl Kagan. Both can be reached at CMR’s main phone number, 301-637-0730.
