The type of individuals and families REAP serves varies greatly.  We help all in need who live in the Greater Rockville
area regardless of age, gender, race or ethnicity, or religion.  A typical client is a single mother with four or five children
desperately trying to make ends meet.  Many of our clients are also the homeless, low income disabled, older adults,
the unemployed, and the working poor.

Rockville Emergency Assistance Program (REAP)
Community Ministries of Rockville
Working in partnership with the City of Rockville,
the Rockville Emergency Assistance Program
helps individuals and families in the Greater
Rockville area with emergency financial
assistance. Our services include helping pay
rent or mortgage when facing evictions or
foreclosures, utility bills including water bills
when facing a discontinuation of service and
help pay for prescriptions.  In recent years, we
have helped more than 1,000 individuals and
families each year with financial assistance to
avoid hardships and the taking away of basic
needs: housing and utility services.  REAP also
helps in other ways by providing over 3,000
referrals each year to area resources for food,
clothing, dental and vision care.
