Jefferson House
Community Ministries of Rockville
As the first personal living quarters in the city of
Rockville, the Jefferson House program provides
permanent supportive housing to formerly
homeless men who are in a treatment program or
have completed a treatment program. The house
has a capacity for five men and a resident
manager. Throughout the year, 6 to 10 men are
served. The house is supervised by the Housing
Director and Case Manager with the support of an
on-site Resident Manager.
After completing a day treatment program and spending 2 years in the shelter
system, Jason entered the Jefferson House program. It was a long and
necessary journey, but now follow up is needed to not only maintain all that
he accomplished, but to go further. After only a few months at Jefferson
House, Jason is a full time student at Montgomery College and working
part-time at the college.
